Maintenance Technician

vacation rental properties on Navarre Beach.
This is a Full Time 40 hour per week position.
Saturdays in the Summer are required.
Candidate must be willing to work 2 on call nights per week.
Pay starts at $20/hour, to commensurate with experience and skillsets.
Supervisory skills are a plus, and may result in a higher starting pay.
Company van will be provided for business use.
Benefits such as health insurance and PTO will be given after probationary period.
Required Skills:
Maintenance Skills:
Proficiency in basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and HVAC systems.
Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks, such as painting, drywall repair, minor flooring repair, and all other miscellaneous repairs of rental properties.
Experience with troubleshooting and performing minor repairs on appliances, fixtures, and equipment commonly found in vacation rentals preferred.
Safety Awareness:
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to maintenance work.
Ability to identify and address safety hazards promptly.
Communication Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with guests, property owners, and coworkers.
Ability to communicate maintenance needs and updates effectively.
Organization and Time Management:
Efficient time management to prioritize and complete tasks promptly.
Attention to Detail:
A keen eye for detail to ensure vacation rental properties are maintained to high standards and repairs are completed accurately and efficiently.
Ability to identify and address issues that may affect guest satisfaction.
Customer Service Skills:
Ability to provide excellent customer service and professionalism when interacting with guests or addressing their maintenance concerns.
Technical Aptitude:
Comfort with using maintenance tools and equipment.
Physical Stamina:
The physical ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks.
Good overall physical health to handle the demands of the job.
Problem-Solving Skills:
Strong problem-solving abilities to diagnose maintenance issues and find effective solutions.

Experience and Education:
